Critical Care
The Critical Care Unit is comprised of 12 beds that allow for treatment of patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team which includes Physicians, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Spiritual Care Personnel, Laboratory staff, and Occupational Therapists. With a focus on quality patient care, the unit is appointed with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
Programs embedded within daily practice in Critical Care include but are not limited to: Antimicrobial Stewardship, Trillium Gift of Life, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as bedside transfer of accountability
