The Critical Care Unit is located on the second level of the hospital, unit 2900.
The Critical Care Unit is comprised of 12 beds that allow for treatment of patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team
which includes physicians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, spiritual care personnel, laboratory staff, and occupational therapists. With a focus on

that promotes high standards of infection control. Antimicrobial stewardship, organ donation, and resuscitation committee are embedded in daily practice.
Programs embedded within daily practice in Critical Care include but are not limited to: Antimicrobial Stewardship, Trillium Gift of Life, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as bedside transfer of accountability
