From the beginning concept, Woodstock Hospital was designed with a host of environmental and energy best practices in mind. Once construction of the new facility was completed, the hospital applied for and achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification at the silver level through the CaGBC (Canadian Green Building Council) and was the first hospital in Ontario to achieve LEED certification, and the first to achieve LEED Silver in Canada.
