Woodstock Hospital has over 200 volunteers who govern, raise funds and deliver customer service and support. Our volunteer team offers a helping hand to make the patients’ stay more pleasant.

Why Volunteer? 

  • Volunteering provides many lifelong experiences and memories. By volunteering at Woodstock  Hospital, you can:
  • Become involved in your community.
  • Share your knowledge, talents and interest with others 
  • Meet new people and network with other volunteers 
  • Gain practical work experience or explore a new career 
  • Attend various educational workshops
  • Obtain references for employment, scholarships, bursaries, etc. 


  • Submit an Application Form, including two references (other than family members). 
  • Attend an interview with the Coordinator of Volunteer Services. 
  • Must meet with Occupational Health prior to beginning a placement.
  • Participate in an orientation session. 
  • Provide a minimum commitment of 6 months to one year, or 60 hours for students.
  • Participate in educational sessions, training opportunities or departmental meetings as required.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • Enjoy working with minimal supervision.
  • Can act independently within the boundaries outlined in your position description.
  • Have energy and enthusiasm.
  • Enjoy working with people and helping others.
  • Are honest and reliable.
  • Are serious about making a volunteer commitment.

Submitting an application package and attending an interview does not guarantee a volunteer placement.

Note: As of June 1st, we are unable to process applications for post-secondary students. Secondary students are encouraged to apply in August for a fall start date. Please expect delays over the summer.
