The Woodstock Hospital Auxiliary

The Woodstock Hospital Auxiliary has generously donated $7,850 towards the purchase of a Cardiac Ultrasound Probe for our Emergency Department.

A Cardiac Ultrasound Probe is a specialized probe for the heart and was purchased as an addition for the bedside ultrasound machine already being used in the department. The machine is used by emergency physicians to gather real time information like a new age stethoscope.

The probe generates high-frequency sound waves that are transmitted into the body. The probe collects the sounds that bounce back and a computer then uses those sound waves to create an image.

The Hospital Gift Shop is located in the main lobby of the hospital, are run by the Auxiliary to Woodstock Hospital. All proceeds from the sales of the gift shop are donated to the hospital to improve health services, equipment and education.

Donations can be made to the Auxiliary to help improve health services and provide equipment.
