Two visitors per patient are allowed at one time in the Patient Care areas.
Before you visit, check with the patient's family or call the hospital to ensure that the patient is able to see you. Except in special circumstances, we recommend that only close family members or close friends visit our patients.
Visit only if you are feeling well and wash your hands when you arrive at the hospital.
Be considerate of the needs of our patients. Please limit visitors to two/patient and leave if the patient you are visiting is tired, or if he or she needs special nursing care or treatment.
Be respectful of other patients, especially those who share the room where you are visiting Please do not visit the hospital if you have cold or flu symptoms (i.e. fever, cough, sore throat or runny nose), unexplained gastrointestinal problems (i.e. upset stomach, vomiting or diarrhoea) or open wounds, sores or rashes.
Woodstock General recognizes that family members and significant others contribute to a positive patient experience and positive health outcomes. We know that visitors are important to our patients but we must all do our part to keep the hospital safe by preventing the spread of infectious disease.
Therefore we ask that only significant family members and friends of our patients visit them while they are in our hospital. Visitors who are not close family members or friends are asked to refrain from visiting. Instead we encourage you to show you care in other ways... send cards or letters, telephone the patient, or delay your visit until the patient goes home.
