The Woodstock Hospital Foundation received $25,000 from the Optimist Club of East Oxford-Oxford Centre (EOOC). The funds will be directed to Diagnostic Imaging in Woodstock Hospital to maintain and upgrade equipment in that department.

Throughout their 38 years of operation, the EOOC Optimists hosted various fundraising events that contributed to this donation. “Our members felt that donating to the Foundation would benefit many of the citizens in Oxford County,” said Bev Leake, Charter Secretary Treasurer of the Woodstock Optimist Club. “This donation will also make our club’s name remain for years to come.”

Plaques honouring the donation are placed outside an Ultrasound room in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and on a giving plaque hanging in the stairwell of the hospital’s main foyer.
