Social Work Services
Illnesses, injuries and being hospitalized can cause problems and can be difficult to cope with. If you have any concerns about changes in your health, or problems within the hospital or in your community, a Social Worker is available to assist you.
Social Workers at Woodstock General Hospital are members of the health care team, professionally trained in providing individual, family and group therapy.
Any member of your health care team can assist you in contacting the appropriate social worker at your request. You may also contact Social Work Services directly at extension # 2360.
The Social Worker can provide:
- Individual or family counseling to assist with defining illness, understanding reactions, identifying options and resources available
- Crisis counseling
- Stress management education
- Advocacy
- Referral to community resource
